A recent investor complaint against Tacoma, Washington financial advisor Zachary Abraham (CRD# 5595930) alleges that he gave unsuitable advice. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former Abraham & Company broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with Trek Financial, doing business as Bulwark Capital Management.
Mr. Abraham’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. The pending complaint alleges damages of $700,000.
FINRA’s suitability rule, for reference, stipulates that brokers must “have a reasonable basis to believe” that investments they recommend are appropriate not only for some investors, but for the specific investors to which they are recommending the products or strategies. As outlined by FINRA Rule 2111, brokers determine an investment’s suitability by conducting reasonable diligence “to ascertain the customer’s investment profile,” which encompasses the client’s age, net worth, risk tolerance, investment objectives, liquidity needs, tax status, and other factors. “A broker’s ‘recommendation,’ which is based on the facts and circumstances of a particular case, is the triggering event for application of the rule,” the rule states.
According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Zachary Abraham holds 16 years of securities industry experience. Based in Tacoma, Washington, he has been registered as an investment advisor with Trek Financial since 2022, doing business as Bulwark Capital Management. His past registrations include Clear Creek Financial Management, Northwest Asset Management, Abraham & Company, CK Cooper & Company, and Wells Fargo Advisors. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. He is licensed in Washington. (Information current as of April 16, 2026.)
