Patrick Jenkins: Oil & Gas Complaint Against CreativeOne Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Logan, Utah financial advisor Patrick Jenkins (CRD# 5261717) alleges that he made unsuitable investment recommendations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with CreativeOne Securities and an investment advisor with Strategic Advocates.

Mr. Jenkins’ BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. The most recent, filed in March 2024, alleges that as a representative of Crown Capital Securities, he breached contract, made material misrepresentations, breached his fiduciary duty, and recommended unsuitable alternative investments, including oil and gas products. The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,000.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2021, alleged that as a representative of Crown Capital Securities and Cambridge Investment Research, he misrepresented material facts, recommended unsuitable annuity investments, and charged “excessive and undisclosed fees.” The complaint alleged damages of $510,000 and was denied by the firms.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Patrick Jenkins holds 17 years of securities industry experience. Based in Logan, Utah, he has been registered as a broker with CreativeOne Securities since 2024 and an investment advisor with Strategic Advocates since 2022. His past registrations include Crown Capital Securities, Cambridge Investment Research, Yellowstone Partners, and Demars Financial Group. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
