Eddie Williams: $50K Complaint Against LifeMark Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Southfield, Michigan financial advisor Eddie Williams (CRD# 2239318) alleges that he recommended an unsuitable investment. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with LifeMark Securities Corporation.

Mr. Williams’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2025, it alleges that as a representative of LifeMark Securities, he recommended an unsuitable investment, breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently, and failed in his supervisory responsibilities in connection with a corporate bond product whose issuer has since filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The pending complaint alleges damages of $50,000.

A comment included with the disclosure defends Mr. Williams against the allegations. “The investments recommended by Mr. Williams appropriately matched Client’s risk profiles and investment strategies,” it states. “All risks and features of the investments were accurately disclosed and Client received and signed written disclosures.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mr. Williams holds 32 years of securities industry experience. Based in Southfield, Michigan, he has been registered as a broker with LifeMark Securities Corporation since 2012. His past registrations include Sigma Financial corporation (2002-2012), Morgan Stanley DW (1995-2002), American Express Financial Advisors (1995), IDS Life Insurance Company (1995), and Essex National Securities (1992-1995).
