Andrew Greaves: $15mm Complaint Against Fidelity Advisor

Salt Lake City, Utah financial advisor Andrew Greaves (CRD# 6037600) allegedly recommended an unsuitable investment, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Fidelity Brokerage Services and an investment advisor with Strategic Advisers.

Mr. Greaves’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2026, it alleges that as a representative of Morgan Stanley, he recommended an unsuitable investment in a Liquidity Access Line, which involved “a concentrated equity position.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $15,000,000.

“Concentration,” also referred to as over-concentration or lack of diversification, is the investment equivalent of placing too many eggs in one basket, as FINRA’s investor resources describe it. The regulatory agency advises that investors can avoid the risks of over-concentration—which include overexposure to risky investments that can magnify losses—by diversifying their portfolios across and within major asset classes, regularly rebalancing their portfolios, performing thorough due diligence into the underlying products in any mutual funds and exchange-traded funds in their portfolio, and paying careful attention to their investments’ liquidity.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Andrew Greaves holds 14 years of securities industry experience. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, he has been registered as a broker with Fidelity Brokerage Services since 2024 and an investment advisor with Strategic Advisers since 2025. His past registrations include Fidelity Personal and Workplace Advisors, Morgan Stanley, E*Trade Capital Management, and E*Trade Securities. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He holds 55 state licenses. (Information current as of September 26, 2026.)
