Erik Antener: $150K Complaint Against Park Avenue Advisor

Austin, Texas financial advisor Erik Antener (CRD# 5329953) allegedly made unauthorized trades, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Park Avenue Securities.

Mr. Antener’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in February 2026, it alleges that as a representative of Park Avenue Securities, he made unauthorized and unsuitable trades in connection with stock products. The pending complaint alleges damages of $150,000.

Investors should be aware that FINRA rules prohibit brokers like Mr. Antener from trading securities without customer authorization. FINRA Rule 3260, for example, describes specific conditions under which brokers can execute discretionary trades; it also prohibits the exercise of discretionary authority without a customer’s prior written authorization and a firm’s written acceptance of the account as discretionary. FINRA Rule 2010, meanwhile, states that FINRA-associated persons must “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade,” which generally means that they may not conduct unauthorized trades. Then there’s Rule 2020, which prohibits brokers from “effect[ing] any transaction in, or induc[ing] the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” Brokers who violate these rules may be held liable for damages.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Erik Antener holds 18 years of securities industry experience. Based in Austin, Texas, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Park Avenue Securities since 2011. He was previously registered with MetLife Securities in Austin from 2007 until 2011. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; and the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7. He holds 48 state licenses. (Information current as of March 22, 2026.)
