Eric Heiting: Central Wealth Advisor Faces $147K Complaint

Madison, Wisconsin financial advisor Eric Heiting (CRD# 3052881) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former NYLife Securities broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with Central Wealth Management and PMMSF Partners.

Mr. Heiting’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaints. The most recent, filed in September 2026, alleges that as a representative of Central Wealth Management, he breached his fiduciary duty, made intentional and negligent misrepresentations of material facts, failed in his supervisory duty, and engaged in deceptive trade practices in connection with private placement investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of $146,619.05.

A second investor complaint, filed in 2010, alleged that as a representative of Eagle Strategies, he made misrepresentations regarding a mutual fund rollover. The complaint reached a settlement of $35,549.

For reference, negligence refers to an advisor’s failure to uphold their duty of care to their clients. Broadly speaking, that failure takes the form of an advisor doing something that a reasonably prudent advisor would not do under the same circumstances, or not doing something that a reasonably prudent advisor would do. The recommendation of unsuitable investments, the failure to diversify a portfolio, a lack of adequate due diligence on an investment: all of these can be forms of negligence. As with other forms of broker and advisor misconduct, representatives who engage in negligence may be held liable in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the SEC, Eric Heiting holds 28 years of securities industry experience. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, he has been registered as an investment advisor with Central Wealth Management since 2026 and PMMSF Partners since 2020. He was previously registered as a broker with NYLife Securities from 1998 until 2018. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. (Information current as of October 27, 2026.)
