Joe Varghese: Prudential Financial Advisor Barred By Regulators

Joe Varghese, a former Prudential financial advisor in Howard Beach, New York, has been barred for life by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority – the agency that oversees brokerage firms and their employees. This comes approximately nine months after he resigned from his employment with Prudential (Pruco Securities). According to public records, Varghese resigned from Prudential after allegations were made that he “submitted several annuity applications, that were never funded. This allowed [Varghese]  to receive compensation that he was not entitled to.”

According to FINRA, Varghese was ultimately barred for failure to appear for on-the-record testimony during FINRA’s investigation of him. FINRA states that Varghese acknowledge FINRA’s investigation and informed FINRA that he will not participate.

Varghese agreed to the lifetime bar by signing a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent with FINRA, dated December 24, 2018.
