Becca Kilgore: $175K Complaint Against Edward Jones Advisor

Scottsboro, Alabama financial advisor Becca Kilgore (CRD# 5721695) recently received an investor complaint alleging that she stole funds. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Edward Jones.

Ms. Kilgore’s BrokerCheck report discloses one recent investor complaint. Filed in March 2025, it alleges that as a representative of Edward Jones, she stole money from her client and ex-husband. The pending complaint alleges damages of $175,000.

The theft of clients funds is forbidden by FINRA rules and other securities industry standards. FINRA Rule 2150, for example, stipulates that FINRA-associated persons shall not “make improper use of a customer’s securities or funds.” FINRA Rule 2010, meanwhile, states that that brokers like Mr. Kilgore  must “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade” in the conduct of their business. Brokers who violate these rules may be found liable for damages and/or subject to disciplinary action by FINRA or author industry regulators.

Edward Jones’ website includes a profile of Ms. Kilgore in which she describes her experience and services. “As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it’s important to invest my time to understand what is important to you before you invest your money,” she explains. “Using an established process, I build financial strategies specific to my clients’ goals. Once strategies are in place, I partner with my clients to help them continue to make wise financial decisions and stay on track.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Becca Kilgore holds 15 years of securities industry experience. Based in Scottsboro, Alabama, she has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Edward Jones since 2009. Her credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. She is licensed in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. (Information current as of April 21, 2025.)
