Springfield, Missouri financial advisor Joe LaTour (CRD# 4436861) allegedly recommended unsuitable investments, according to a pending investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and investment advisor with LaTour Asset Management, offering securities through Center Street Securities.
Mr. LaTour’s BrokerCheck report discloses one pending investor complaint. Filed in March 2022, it alleges that he recommended unsuitable and illiquid investments in GWG Holdings L bonds. The pending complaint alleges damages between $100,000 and $500,000.
His BrokerCheck report also discloses two regulatory enforcement actions against him. Issued in 2009 and 2010 by the State of Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration, the sanctions alleged that he engaged in unapproved advertising relating to fixed annuities. He was issued a fine of $2,000 in the 2009 sanction and a $4,000 fine in the 2010 sanction.

Based in Springfield, Missouri, he is a broker with LaTour Asset Management, offering securities through Center Street Securities. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63.
