Investor Files Complaint Against Houston Advisor Eduardo Leon

Global Financial Services advisor Eduardo Leon (CRD# 2232647) has received multiple investor complaints alleging six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker based in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Leon’s BrokerCheck report discloses three investor complaints. The most recent, filed in March 2022, alleged that as a representative of Global Financial Services, he purchased a bond without the customer’s approval and failed to follow instructions to impose stop-loss orders on two securities. In September 2022 the complaint reached a settlement of $235,000.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in March 2022, alleges he made unauthorized and unsuitable purchases of corporate bonds. The pending complaint alleges damages of $262,855.30.

A third investor complaint, filed in 2008, alleged unspecified sales practice violations involving stock and options investments. In 2010 the complaint reached a settlement of $300,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Eduardo Leon holds 30 years of securities industry experience. Based in Houston, Texas, he has been a broker with Global Financial Services in Houston, Texas since 1994. His past registrations include Kidder Peabody & Company (New York, New York; 1994) and GBM International (Houston, Texas; 1992-1994). His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Limited Representative-Equity Trader Exam, or Series 55; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63.
