Frank Gomez: $395K Complaint Against LPL Advisor

Fate, Texas financial advisor Frank Gomez (CRD# 6289883) recently received an investor complaint alleging his advice resulted six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with LPL Financial, doing business as Diligent Hands Wealth Management.

Mr. Gomez’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2025, it alleges that as a representative of LPL Financial, he failed to disclose material terms regarding annuity investments, and that his affiliated entities took loans from the client below market rates. The pending complaint alleges damages of $395,869.90.

For reference, FINRA Rule 2020 stipulates that financial advisors at FINRA member firms must not “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” What this means is that brokers are forbidden from making misrepresentations or omissions of material information—that is, information posing a significant consideration for investors weighing a particular investment product or strategy—related to their recommendations. Brokers who make misrepresentations may be held liable for damages in the event that an investment suffers losses, or they may even be held subject to disciplinary action by securities regulators.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Frank Gomez holds nine years of securities industry experience. Based in Fate, Texas, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with LPL Financial since 2021. He was previously registered with BBVA Securities in Mesquite, Texas from 2016 until 2021. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6. He is licensed in Florida, Indiana, and Texas. (Information current as of October 18, 2025.)
