George Amanatides: David Lerner Advisor Lands Energy 11/12 Complaint

Syosset, New York financial advisor George Amanatides (CRD# 4611464) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with David Lerner Associates.

Mr. Amanatides’ BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in September 2024, it alleges that as a representative of David Lerner Associates, he breached his fiduciary duty, recommended unsuitable investments, and misrepresented and omitted material facts in connection with investments in Energy 11 and Energy 12. The pending complaint alleges damages of $92,175.

Investors should be aware that FINRA rules forbid brokers from misrepresenting or omitting material facts in connection with the investments and strategies they recommend. FINRA Rule 2020 stipulates specifically that no broker may “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” Brokers who fail to accurately represent investments may be held liable for damages.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, George Amanatides holds 21 years of securities industry experience. Based in Syosset, New York, he has been registered as a broker with David Lerner Associates since 2003. His credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia.
