Mark Zorn: Suitability Complaint Against FFEC Wealth Advisor

Addison, Texas financial advisor Mark Zorn (CRD# 2056837) allegedly made unsuitable recommendations, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that the former Kestra representative is currently registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Cetera Advisor Networks, doing business as FFEC Wealth Partners.

Mr. Zorn’s BrokerCheck report discloses two investor complaint. The most recent, filed in April 2023, alleges that as a representative of Kestra Investment Services, he recommended unsuitable investments in direct participation programs and/or limited partnership interests. The pending complaint alleges unspecified damages estimated to be in excess of $5,000.

An earlier investor complaint, filed in 2010, alleged that he misrepresented the commissions associated with the sale of mutual funds and a variable annuity in June 2007. The complaint alleged damages of $32,000 and was denied by NFP Securities.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mark Zorn holds 32 years of securities industry experience. Based in Addison, Texas, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Cetera Advisor Networks since 2022, doing business as FFEC Wealth Partners. His registration history includes Kestra Investment Services (Waco, Texas; 2007-2022), NFP Advisor Services (Waco, Texas; 2007-2016), SWS Financial Services (Waco, Texas; 2003-2006), Merrill Lynch (Waco, Texas; 2002-2003), Investors Brokerage of Texas (Waco, Texas; 1999-2002), Lincoln Financial Advisors Corporation (1999), AG Edwards & Sons (St. Louis, Missouri; 1995-1998, 1992-1995), Merrill Lynch (New York, New York; 1995), and Paulson Investment Company (Lake Oswego, Oregon; 1991-1992). His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65.
