Matt Wilson: Did Ausdal Advisor Sell Inspired Healthcare?

Boulder, Colorado financial advisor Matt Wilson (CRD# 4576995) has been sanctioned by securities regulators and was terminated from a former member firm. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Ausdal Financial Partners.

In addition, Mr. Wilson’s name appears on a Form D filing for Inspired Healthcare Capital, a senior living development company that recently entered bankruptcy. According to an InvestmentNews report, the company sold private placement offerings and alternative investments “through a network of independent contractor broker-dealers,” reportedly receiving “more than $100 million in fees and commissions” for investments that later ceased making distributions to investors.

Mr. Wilson’s BrokerCheck report discloses the state of North Dakota’s enforcement action against him. Filed in 2009, the disclosure describes allegations that he signed a client’s signature on a letter to open an account. He was issued a 14-day suspension and a fine of $1,000.

A second disclosure on his BrokerCheck report concerns his termination from Merrill Lynch. Filed in 2008, the disclosure states that he was fired in connection with allegations that he signed a client’s name on a document.

In identical statements included with both disclosures, Mr. Wilson defended himself against the allegations. “I knew that there was no realistic way to get the client to sign the letter and complete the transfer by the end of the year with him leaving town, so I signed his name to the letter,” he wrote in part. “I in no way made any attempt to cover up or hide my mistake… After hearing what I had done, and what had happened as a result, this client wrote a letter of support on my behalf.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Matt Wilson holds 23 years of securities industry experience. Based in Boulder, Colorado, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with Ausdal Financial Partners since 2019. His registration history includes Capital Financial Services, Merrill Lynch, and Morgan Stanley. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Futures Managed Funds Examination, or Series 31; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He holds 24 state licenses. (Information current as of March 20, 2026.)
