Richard Ganim: LPL Financial Advisor Faces Stock Complaint

A recent investor complaint against Broadview Heights, Ohio financial advisor Richard Ganim (CRD# 2447068) alleges that he violated Regulation Best Interest. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with LPL Financial and as an investment advisor with Stratos Wealth Partners.

Mr. Ganim’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in July 2026, it alleges that as a representative of LPL Financial and Stratos Wealth Partners, he violated Regulation Best Interest n connection with common stock investments. The pending complaint alleges damages of at least of $5,000.

FINRA registered representatives like Mr. Ganim are beholden to Regulation Best Interest, a Securities and Exchange Commission rule governing recommendations made to retail customers. It requires brokers to act in a customer’s best interest when making a recommendation, as opposed to prioritizing their own financial interests. FINRA Rule 2010 separately requires brokers to “observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.” A broker recommending a stock position must weigh the customer’s objectives and risk tolerance, in other words, not his own compensation. Brokers who recommend unsuitable investments may be held liable in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Richard Allen Ganim Jr holds 31 years of securities industry experience. Based in Broadview Heights, Ohio, he has been registered as a broker with LPL Financial and as an investment advisor with Stratos Wealth Partners since 2017. His past registrations include MSI Financial Services, H. Beck, Multi-Financial Securities, Legacy Advisory Services, Questar Capital, Charter One Securities, Locust Street Securities, and PaineWebber. He holds 24 state licenses. (Information current as of July 25, 2026.)
