Rogers Haydon: Why Did Arkadios Advisor Resign from Raymond James?

Atlanta, Georgia financial advisor Rogers Haydon (CRD# 4452565) recently resigned from his former member firm in connection with alleged rule violations. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and Securities and Exchange Commission records show that the former Raymond James broker is currently registered as an investment advisor with Arkadios Wealth advisors.

Mr. Haydon’s BrokerCheck report discloses his departure from Raymond James & Associates. Filed in August 2025, the disclosure states that he voluntarily resigned from the firm in connection with allegations of “conduct inconsistent with firm policies on correspondence, advertising, outside business activities, selling away, and private securities transactions.”

A second disclosure on his BrokerCheck report concerns an investor complaint against him. Filed in 2010, it alleged that as a representative of Morgan Keegan & Company, he made a poor recommendation and provided poor advice “with regard to mutual fund investments.” The complaint alleged unspecified damages and was denied by the firm.

Investors should be aware that FINRA Rule 3280 stipulates that brokers like Mr. Haydon may not undertake private securities transactions—transactions involving investments unapproved by their firm—without first providing written notice to their firm. In cases where they have received or may receive selling compensation for the transaction, they must obtain their firm’s written approval. Private securities transactions can create risks for the investor, given that they involve investments not vetted by the firm. Brokers who recommend private securities transactions may be held liable in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, Rogers Haydon holds 23 years of securities industry experience. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he was most recently registered as a broker with Raymond James & Associates and has been registered as an investment advisor with Arkadios Wealth Advisors since September 2025. His past registrations include Morgan Keegan & Company and AG Edwards & Sons. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Futures Managed Funds Examination, or Series 31. He is licensed in Georgia. (Information current as of October 6, 2025.)
