Rodger Sprouse: Titan Advisor Has Future Income Payments Complaints

Lee’s Summit, Missouri financial advisor Rodger Sprouse (CRD# 5483578) has received multiple investor complaints, several of which relate to investments in Future Income Payments. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Titan Securities, doing business as Sprouse Financial Group. 

Mr. Sprouse’s BrokerCheck report discloses several recent investor complaints. The most recent, filed in May 2022, alleges he recommended an unsuitable investment while a representative of Titan Securities. The pending complaint alleges damages of $50,000.

A second investor complaint, filed in 2020, alleges unspecified misconduct relating to an investment in a Future Income Payments structured cash flow product. The complaint reached a settlement of $43,000. In a statement on the complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Sprouse wrote that the customer contacted him “seeking help to replace FIP losses,” and he decided to assist her. “Customer never filed a complaint or action and remains a client,” he added.”

A third investor complaint, filed in 2019, alleged he sold an investment in Future Income Payments as part of an outside business activity away from his member firm, Titan Securities. The complaint reached a settlement of $158,000. In a statement on the disclosure, Mr. Sprouse wrote that he “denied all liability, but to avoid cost of litigation, the parties settled for less than the claimed amount.”

A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2011, alleged that as a representative of Stonehurst Securities, he sold unsuitable investments. The complaint reached a settlement of $46,748.60.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Rodger Sprouse holds 14 years of securities industry experience. Based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, he has been  a broker and an investment advisor with Titan Securities since 2011, doing business as Sprouse Financial Group. His past registrations include Evolve Securities (Overland Park, Kansas; 2010), Stonehurst Securities (Folsom, California; 2009-2010), and Envision Investment Advisors. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying examinations: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He is licensed in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.
