Shaun Floresca: $85K Complaint Against Alliant Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Chicago financial advisor Shaun Floresca (CRD# 4758697) alleges that he recommended an unsuitable investment, resulting in losses. Records provided by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority indicate that he is a broker and an investment advisor with LPL Financial, doing business as Alliant Retirement and Investment Services.

Mr. Floresca’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in February 2023, it alleges that as a representative of LPL Financial, he recommended a real estate investment in 2014 that “was inappropriate for the customer’s investment objectives and risk tolerance.” The pending complaint alleges damages of $85,000.

In a statement included with the pending complaint’s disclosure, Mr. Floresca denied the allegations, which he described as “completely” meritless. “The investment about which the customer complained was suitable and was recommended based on the customer’s objectives, goals and financial circumstances and were offered only after her review of all material documentation related to the investments,” he wrote, adding: “At all times, the representative and firm put the customer’s interest first, and will vigorously defend this matter to the fullest extent of the law.”
