Promissory statements, misrepresentations and unsuitable recommendations were also alleged in a 2018 customer complaint regarding his employment at Dawson James. That complaint reached a settlement of $62,500.

Armstrong allegedly provided “false and misleading assurances and unsuitable recommendations” associated with a promissory note investment, according to a 2018 customer complaint regarding his conduct at Dawson James. That complaint reached a 2019 settlement of $150,000.

Another 2018 customer complaint alleged that he offered “misrepresentations and promissory statements” regarding an unsuitable private placement product. That complaint reached an August 2019 settlement of $265,000.

R. Douglas Armstrong’s registration with Dawson James Securities in Boca Raton, Florida started in August 2012. His employment history includes Westpark Capital and Aurora Capital.
