Aaron Sevigny: $500K-$1mm Complaint Against Acadia Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Bonita Springs, Florida financial advisor Aaron Sevigny (CRD# 4314368) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his conduct resulted in seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker and an investment adviser with United Planners’ Financial Services of America, doing business as Acadia Wealth Management.

Mr. Sevigny’s BrokerCheck report discloses five investor complaints. The most recent, filed in January 2026, alleges that as a representative of United Planners Financial Services, he breached contract, committed promissory estoppel, violated the Consumer Protection and Trade Practices Act, violated state securities law, committed, fraud, breached his fiduciary duty, engaged in unjust enrichment, acted negligently, and misrepresented and omitted material facts. The pending complaint alleges damages between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

A second investor complaint, filed in January 2026, alleges that as a United Planners representative, he violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, committed fraud, breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently, and aided and abetted fraud. The pending complaint alleges damages of $2 million.

A third investor complaint, filed in 2021, alleged that as a United Planners representative, he recommended unsuitable investments, breached contract, aided and abetted fraud, violated the Florida Securities Act, breached his fiduciary duty, and acted negligently. In 2022 the complaint reached a settlement of $102,600.

A fourth investor complaint, filed in 2021, alleged that as a United Planners representative, he breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently, and breached contract. In 2022 the complaint reached a settlement of $49,500.

A fifth investor complaint, filed in 2021, alleged that as a United Planners representative, he breached his fiduciary duty, failed in his supervisory responsibilities, and recommended unsuitable alternative investments. In 2022 the complaint reached a settlement of $25,000.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Aaron Sevigny holds 22 years of securities industry experience. Based in Bonita Springs, Florida, he has been registered as a broker and an investment adviser with United Planners’ Financial Services of America since 2006, doing business as Acadia Wealth Management. His past registrations include Financial Advisory Consultants, Triad Advisors, and MONY Securities Corporation. His credentials include the passage of five securities industry qualifying exams: the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Registered Options Principal Examination, or Series 4; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
