Beatty McDonald: McDonald Partners Advisor Faces FINRA Sanction

Cleveland, Ohio financial advisor Beatty McDonald (CRD# 5126644) allegedly recommended an unsuitable private placement, according to a pending disciplinary action. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor registered with McDonald Partners.

Mr. McDonald’s BrokerCheck report discloses the pending FINRA disciplinary action against him. Filed in February 2024, it concerns allegations that he failed to conduct due diligence on an unsuitable real estate private placement investment. The disciplinary action remains pending.

McDonald Partners’ website includes a profile of Mr. McDonald that describes him as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer. “Beatty McDonald is responsible for overseeing all facets of the business,” it explains. “Beatty has a proven executive management track record and applies his disciplined approach in finance to the strategic operations of the firm. Prior to joining the financial services industry, Beatty had more than 15 years of experience in the entertainment industry, starting and building companies.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Beatty McDonald holds 17 years of securities industry experience. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, he has been registered as a broker and an investment advisor with McDonald Partners since 2007. His credentials include the passage of eight securities industry qualifying exams: the Municipal Securities Principal Examination, or Series 53; the Financial and Operations Principal Examination, or Series 27; the Introducing Broker/Dealer Financial Operations Principal Examination, or Series 28; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Investment Banking Registered Representative Examination, or Series 79TO; the Operations Professional Examination, or Series 99TO; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Virginia.
