Investor Files Complaint Against Kestra Advisor Ben Belanger
A recent investor complaint against Kestra Investment Services financial advisor Ben Belanger (CRD# 5293459) alleges that his recommendations led to six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor based in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Belanger’s BrokerCheck report discloses several investor complaints. The most recent, filed in June 2022, alleges that as a representative of First Allied Securities, he recommended unsuitable real estate investments and made misrepresentations of material facts. The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,000.
An earlier investor complaint, filed in June 2021, alleged that he recommended unsuitable investments, breached his fiduciary duty, misrepresented material facts, and acted negligently in connection with investments in real estate investment trusts. In September 2022 the complaint reached a settlement of $75,000.
A third investor complaint, filed in June 2021, alleged the unsuitable recommendation of investments in Healthcare Trust and Hospitality Investors Trust. The complaint reached a settlement of $2,500.
