Chris Moyseos: Morgan Stanley Advisor Receives $585K Complaint

Austin financial advisor Chris Moyseos (CRD# 5584290) recently received an investor complaint alleging more than $500,000 in damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Moyseos’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in June 2023, it alleges that as a representative of Morgan Stanley, he recommended unsuitable investments, including exchange-traded funds. The pending complaint alleges damages of $585,000.

In his profile on Morgan Stanley’s website, Mr. Moyseos describes his role as helping clients develop a plan that sets a path to their desired future. “Having been in the banking and finance field for over 30 years, I bring a wealth of experience to the client – advisor relationship,” he writes, stating further: “I focus on listening to what you have to say on what is important to you, then working together to provide you with the financial and investment strategies as well as ongoing knowledge in order to empower you to make the right choices for you and your family.” His listed services include wealth management, asset and cash management, financial planning, long-term care insurance, retirement planning, and sustainable investment.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Chris Moyseos holds 14 years of securities industry experience. Based in Austin, Texas, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Morgan Stanley since 2011. His registration history includes Western Equity Group (Austin, Texas; 2009-2011) and Merrill Lynch (Austin, Texas; 2008-2009). His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Futures Managed Funds Examination, or Series 31; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66. He is licensed in California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
