David Dahill: Realized Financial Advisor Lands Suitability Complaints

Austin, Texas financial advisor David Dahill (CRD# 6581024) allegedly recommended unsuitable investments, according to recent investor complaints. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Realized Financial, having previously been registered with WealthForge Securities.

Mr. Dahill’s BrokerCheck report discloses three investor complaints. The most recent, filed in August 2026, alleges that as a representative of WealthForge Securities, he committed fraud, breached his fiduciary duty, acted negligently, misrepresented and omitted material facts, and recommended an unsuitable investment in a Delaware Statutory Trust. The pending complaint alleges damages of $280,000.

A second investor complaint, filed in 2025, alleges that as a representative of Realized Financial, he was a control person when a representative recommended unsuitable investments in an Inspired Healthcare Capital Delaware Statutory Trust offering. The pending complaint alleges damages between $100,000 and $500,000.

For reference, a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) is a trust entity that allows individual investors to purchase ownership interests in large, institutional-grade real estate assets that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. Examples of these assets include apartment complexes, senior living facilities, and commercial real estate. Investors pool their funds into the DST, which is managed by a professional sponsor or trustee. The sponsor or trustee oversees the acquisition, operation, and sale of the property on behalf of the trust’s beneficiaries. Investors can use DSTs as replacement properties in a 1031 exchange, which gives them the ability to defer capital gains taxes by reinvesting proceeds from the sale of another property into a DST. Risks of this strategy include illiquidity, high fees, and a lack of control over the investment. For these reasons, DSTs may be considered unsuitable for investors with limited experience and/or a low tolerance for risk.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, David Dahill holds 10 years of securities industry experience. Based in Austin, Texas, he has been registered as a broker with Realized Financial since 2019. He was previously registered with WealthForge Securities from 2016 until 2019. His credentials include the passage of four securities industry qualifying exams: the Financial and Operations Principal Examination, or Series 27; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He holds three state licenses. (Information current as of November 1, 2026.)
