Derek Ferriera: $150K Oil & Gas Complaint Against Campbell Advisor

Lincoln Financial Services Corporation advisor Derek Ferriera (CRD# 1290274) has received an investor complaint alleging his recommendations resulted in six-figure loses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker and an investment advisor based in Campbell, California. 

Mr. Ferriera’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint against him. Filed in February 2022, it alleges that as a representative of Lincoln Financial Advisors, he recommended unsuitable investments in real estate and oil and gas securities. Based in Campbell, California, he has been a broker and an investment advisor with Lincoln Financial Securities Corporation since 1998 and 1997, respectively. His past registrations include the Lincoln National Life Insurance Company (Fort Wayne, Indiana; 2001-2006), Cigna Financial Advisors (Radnor, Pennsylvania; 1994-1998), John Hancock Distributors (Boston, Massachusetts; 1984-1994); and John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company (Boston, Massachusetts; 1984-1994). His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying examinations: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, or Series 65; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; and the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE. He is licensed in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.
