Mark Creason: $1mm-$2mm Complaint Against Creason 1031 Advisor

A recent investor complaint against Lake Las Vegas financial advisor Mark Creason (CRD# 6617847) alleges that his real estate investment recommendations resulted in seven-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with Metric Financial, doing business as Creason 1031.

Mr. Creason’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in June 2024, it alleges that as a representative of Emerson Equity, he made unsuitable recommendations of real estate investment products. The pending complaint alleges damages between $1 million and $2 million.

Creason 1031’s website includes a section describing Mr. Creason’s background and services. “As a real estate broker for over 30 years, Mark Creason has specialized in sales and lending for multiple types of retail, multi-family, industrial, and commercial uses,” it explains. “Alternative securitized real estate investments offer additional diversification, income-growth potential and wealth maintenance for client’s asset based portfolios.”

Emerson Equity’s website also includes a section describing the firm’s history and offerings as a full-service brokerage. “Emerson Equity was founded with the vision of providing complete financial planning and highly personalized investment management services and inception-to-closing managing broker dealer services,” it states. “Today, Emerson Equity continues to enjoy strong growth, with more than 150 investment professionals in locations across the country.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Mark Creason holds eight years of securities industry experience. Based in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada, he has been registered as a broker with Metric Financial since 2023, doing business as Creason 1031. His registration history includes Emerson Equity (Temecula, California; 2019-2023), Colorado Financial Service Corporation (Prosper, Texas; 2017-2019), and WealthForge Securities (Richmond, Virginia; 2016). His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Principal Examination, or Series 24; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Investment Banking Registered Representative Examination, or Series 79; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Limited Representative-Private Securities Offerings, or Series 82TO; and the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63. He is licensed in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Maine, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
