Matt Stucke: Ex-Cambridge Advisor Faces 6-Figure Complaint

A recent investor complaint against Milton, Georgia financial advisor Matt Stucke (CRD# 4840895) alleges that his conduct resulted in seven-figure losses. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is a broker with Cetera Advisor Networks and an investment advisor with Cetera Investment Advisers, doing business as Macrocarpa Private Wealth.

Mr. Stucke’s BrokerCheck report discloses four investor complaints. The most The most recent, filed in January 2024, alleges that as a representative of Cambridge Investment Research, he used discretionary authority “to engage in high volumes of risky activity” and was negligent in his management of the customer’s accounts. The pending complaint alleges damages between $1 million and $5 million.

A second investor complaint, also filed in January 2024, alleges that he recommended an unsuitable and risky investment while a representative of Cambridge Investment Research. The pending complaint alleges damages of $200,000.

A third complaint, filed in October 2023, similarly alleged that he recommended risky and unsuitable products. The pending complaint alleges damages of $100,000.

A fourth complaint, filed in July 2023, alleged that as a representative of Cambridge Investment Research, he “mishandled” the customer’s discretionary account, causing losses. In October 2023 the complaint reached a settlement of $275,000.

The website for Mr. Stucke’s investment advisory, Macrocarpa Private Wealth, explains that the firm takes a “team approach” to guiding clients through the complexity of financial services. “We believe it has far-reaching benefits for our clients to get opinions from several sources with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience,” the website states. “We take a proactive approach to helping you develop a strategy to address your financial goals and objectives, using the most efficient methods available.”

Elsewhere on that website, Mr. Stucke’s profile describes his “holistic” approach to client relationships. “He is committed to delivering premium, tailored service, consisting of a thoughtful communication strategy and a comprehensive review process,” the profile states. “His mission is for every element of a clients’ financial life to be considered including alternative investments, private equity, trust, and estate planning, and credit and lending solutions, such as tailored lending, mortgages, asset-based lending, and investment banking.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Matt Stucke holds 18 years of securities industry experience. Based in Milton, Georgia, he has been a broker with Cetera Advisor Networks since 2022 and an investment advisor with Cetera Investment Advisers since 2023, doing business as Macrocarpa Private Wealth. His registration history includes Cambridge Investment Research (Milton, Georgia; 2020-2022), Raymond James & Associates (Alpharetta, Georgia; 2018-2020), JP Morgan & Associates (Atlanta, Georgia; 2013-2018), UBS Financial Services (Atlanta, Georgia; 2010-2013), Wells Fargo Investments (Fargo, North Dakota; 2005-2008), and Intersecurities (St. Petersburg, Florida; 2005). His credentials include the passage of six securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Sales Supervisor – Options Module Examination, or Series 9; the Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative Examination, or Series 6; the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; the Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination, or Series 63; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
