Nick Therrien: Primerica Advisor Lands $500K Suitability Complaint

Londonderry, Connecticut financial advisor Nick Therrien (CRD# 4468021) recently received an investor complaint alleging that his advice resulted in six-figure damages. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is registered as a broker with PFS Investment Services and an investment advisor with Primerica Advisors.

Mr. Therrien’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in April 2023, it alleges that as a representative of PFS Investments, he recommended unsuitable mutual fund investments in the customer’s accounts. The pending complaint alleges damages of $500,000.

Primerica’s website includes a page describing the firm’s history and services, including term life insurance, investments, mortgage products, and identity theft protection. “Back in 1977, Primerica’s founders recognized the pressing need for their friends, family and community members to have access to financial education and the right financial solutions that could help them live better lives and prepare for the future,” it explains. “Their middle–income market was – and still is – largely underserved by the financial services industry in favor of higher income clients.”

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Nick Therrien holds 22 years of securities industry experience. Based in Londonderry, Connecticut, he has been registered as a broker with PFS Investment Services since 2002 and an investment advisor with Primerica Advisors since 2011. He is licensed in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
