Ronald Berg: FINRA Bars Innovation Partners Advisor

Charlotte, North Carolina financial advisor Ronald Berg (CRD# 19008) was recently sanctioned in connection with an investigation into his alleged recommendation of private offerings to senior customers. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that he is currently registered as a broker with Innovation Partners.

A Letter of Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent (No. 2023077022401) released on May 31, 2024 describes FINRA’s disciplinary action against Mr. Berg. As it states, the regulator sent him a request for information and documents in connection with “its examination of [his] recommendations to multiple senior customers to invest and private offerings and [his] involvement with customer trusts.” He provided a partial but incomplete response that “did not substantially comply” with the request, FINRA found, adding that after it sent a subsequent request, he indicated through counsel that he would not produce the remaining documents and information. FINRA found that his failure to produce the requested materials constituted violations of FINRA Rules 8210 and 2010. As a result of these findings, it barred him from associating with any FINRA member in all capacities.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Ronald Berg holds 48 years of securities industry experience. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, he has been registered as a broker with Innovation Partners since 2016.
