Talin Kalaydjian: $50K-$100K Complaint Against Western Advisor

Westlake Village, California financial advisor Talin Kalaydjian (CRD# 6674529) allegedly misrepresented an investment, according to a recent investor complaint. Financial Industry Regulatory Authority records show that she is a broker and an investment advisor with Western International Securities.

Ms. Kalaydjian’s BrokerCheck report discloses one investor complaint. Filed in August 2023, it alleges that as a representative of Western International Securities, she misrepresented the features of a corporate bond product sold in 2020. The pending complaint alleges damages between $50,000 and $100,000.

Investors should be aware that FINRA rules prohibit brokers from providing misleading information regarding the products they recommend, an act commonly referred to as “misrepresentation.” FINRA Rule 2020 specifically stipulates that brokers may not “effect any transaction in, or induce the purchase or sale of, any security by means of any manipulative, deceptive or other fraudulent device or contrivance.” Brokers who make misrepresentations regarding their investment recommendations may cause their clients to purchase unsuitable products, in violation of FINRA Rule 2111. Representatives who misrepresent and/or recommend unsuitable investments may be held liable for damages in the event of losses.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Talin Kalaydjian holds five years of securities industry experience. Based in Westlake Village, California, she has been a broker and an investment advisor with Western International Securities since 2019. She was previously registered with VFG Securities in Culver City, California from 2016 until 2017. Her credentials include the passage of three securities industry qualifying exams: the General Securities Representative Examination, or Series 7; the Securities Industry Essentials Examination, or SIE; and the Uniform Combined State Law Examination, or Series 66.
